How our Products are Made

Every step – from the first sketch to the final stitch – is guided by care and intention, crafted to deliver lasting quality, comfort and confidence.

Made locally and in a small scale, all our pieces are made with our signature process, designed to reduce waste, uphold ethical standards, all while keeping our footprint light.

1. Fabric research and development

Every Positive Me piece begins with the fabric.

  • Before designing anything, we research responsible fibers and work with trusted suppliers in Korea to develop our fabrics together.
  • We test how the material stretches, breathes, and feels on the skin to make sure it delivers the comfort, performance, and durability we expect.
  • Only once the fabric is ready do we begin designing the product.

2. Partnering with local experts

  • Once the fabric is developed, we work with carefully selected local partners in Korea for pattern-making, cutting, sewing, and assembly.
  • Keeping production local allows us to maintain close oversight, consistent quality, and full transparency across the entire process.
  • By collaborating directly with yarn suppliers, fabric mills, pattern engineers, and sewing partners, we ensure that every step meets our quality standards and responsible production.

3. 3D pattern engineering to reduce waste

  • Once the fabric is ready, we design each product around the material’s natural behavior.
  • Using 3D pattern engineering, we shape the garment to follow the body’s movement and refine the fit before production begins.
  • This approach also helps us reduce unnecessary fabric cuts and improve efficiency during the cutting stage.
  • Any remaining fabric is never discarded — leftover materials are repurposed into accessories such as scrunchies.
  • We also produce in small batches, helping us avoid overproduction.

4. Low-impact processing & finishing

  • After the garments are cut, we move to the finishing stage.
  • We prioritize low-impact dyeing methods, non-toxic logo printing, and certified skin-safe treatments to reduce chemical exposure for both people and the environment.
  • All fabrics are tested to ensure they are free from harmful substances and safe for direct contact with the skin.
  • We also carefully select each component used in production, from natural nut buttons and sustainable sewing threads to eco-certified printing and labeling methods.

5. Packaging

  • We use sustainable threads, eco-friendly tags, and certified safe printing methods.

Our packaging is fully biodegradable and recyclable, including:

  • EL724-certified compostable mailers and garment bags
  • Recyclable kraft boxes
  • Paper tapes
  • Cotton twine
  • Uncoated paper labels
